My name is Louise and this is a little bit about me. I decided to buy a piece of internet real estate. I call my digs Build-Up Self-Esteem.com.
Cheers for popping in. Creating my own website and using social media is new for me and so far it’s been great fun.
I got to using the World Wide Web and social media a bit late in the game, but so what? Seemingly, that’s been a pattern for me over the years in numerous areas of my life.
Nevertheless, I may be late but eventually, I do arrive at the party.

Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway
I’ve been reading books and researching self-improvement for years. Probably since the early 1990s. I can still remember the first 3 books I ever bought: Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers, The Road Less Travelled by M Scott Peck, and The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. All three books had a big effect on me and they were the catalyst for my self-improvement journey.
I love finding out about new ways of improving myself and my life. I enjoy reading all the wonderful ideas and new theories people put out there to assist us and give tips on how to get unstuck and move forward with our lives.
Accept People For Who They Are
Getting the eye rolls and being told to shut up, I finally got the message. It was a lesson I learnt the hard way: Accept people for who they are and don’t try to change them. Having said that I did have a couple of friends that enjoyed talking about improving their lives and working out where they could change to live a more fulfilling one.
Who Are You?
That not you? Okay, possibly you are overwhelmed with the enormous amount of information out there that makes up the self-growth and personal development beast of an industry.
Either way, I’m glad you’re here.

My Mission At Build-Up Self-Esteem
Nowadays though it’s not just a relaxed wander around certain book aisles at my local Waterstones to find out the latest self-help books. The internet is chocker block full of stuff. There are articles, books, mindfulness journals, online courses, products, documentaries, seminars, videos. The wealth of information out there is humongous! I mean that in a good way. But it’s a double-edged sword. It’s incredible and at the same time overwhelming.
And that brings me nicely onto my next point, the mission and aim of my site.
At Build-up Self-Esteem there is:
ONE PERSON: Louise (I introduced myself earlier)
ONE MISSION: I discover, explore, share new and strange ways of living an extraordinary life
ONE AIM: Boost and benefit your self-growth voyage by (1) writing articles about different subjects in relation to improving you and your life and (2) reviewing the numerous resources and information for you. (So you don’t have to.)
My values are:
Joy, Clarity, Authenticity, Curiosity, Positivity and Humour.
With these in mind and my mission under my belt I intend to share interesting and useful information with you and for you.
And together we will live our best lives yet.
